The world is in a state of depression; everything has slowed to a static crawl. There was supposed to be an era of life and success; riches were hidden underground for the next generation; that was 8 generations ago. The Thieves’ War that initially inspired the saving turned into the Xalinade Scourge. Those that survived looked for immortality; some even found it, lost in the caverns they carved out using the riches they stored. Now, the world is full of mostly empty holes, only storing fearful remnants of the past and the occasional leftover coin.
